Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
Offer to the Lord in prayer all things you possess. Say them by name. They are in God’s hands now. Now “Give to the poor.” No matter how small or great.
“Give, and it will be given to you.” Luke 6:38
Forgive me Father. Thank you Holy Father for being at my side. Thank you for carrying me through. Thank you for being my guiding light even when I am not spreading yours. Thank you Father for being there for me. Thank you with all my heart.
We may live in temptation from time to time and sin or live long periods of time without acknowledging our sins, but we are never without the Lord even in sin, so do not condemn those in sin for they know not what they do or if they do, do not forget we have all knowingly sinned and will continue to knowingly sin.
Do you think that our society of modern American culture leads to Christians being fearful of offending someone who may or may not have the same beliefs? And does that fear keep us from spreading the Gospel?
Often times I think I’ve failed as a husband or parent or man. I’ve certainly failed as a Christian. I am guilty of many sins and many sins again and again. I do not deserve the grace that I am receiving, but it is given anyway.
Dear God Forgive me and have mercy on me and show me grace. I know that I will sin again, but I know that by the grace of your undying Love that I will be forgiven. Thank you Father for your heavenly grace.
